Oregon Coast!
I’m finally getting a chance to share more about our Oregon Coast trip! Austin, Kyron and Jordan (two of Austin’s best friends) all turned 30 within a few weeks of each other. Holly and I planned the getaway to the coast to celebrate THREE DECADES. I’m so glad we did it. So many good memories!
Our first couple nights on the coast we stayed right in between Cannon Beach and Manzanita at the Inn at Arch Cape. Staying at the Inn at Arch Cape was THE perfect starting point of our trip. When you can hear the ocean from the outside of your room, you know you chose the right place. It was a really fun set up for a group too because there was plenty of space for all of us to hang out, cook, play games, etc. Hands down, 100% recommend Inn at Arch Cape - it was hard to leave!
We spent our first day exploring Ecola State Park that had so many amazing viewpoints and was an absolutely beautiful hike. We all loved it. (Also - plenty of family friendly hiking trails for the win!)
We also went to Cannon Beach. We were told that around low-tide (1-3pm) was the best time to go because you can walk right up to Haystack Rock and explore all the tide pools. We all had a fun time exploring!
The actual town of Cannon Beach was so cute! We had fun walking around a bit. We picked up the cutest beach-themed birthday cake for the guys at Cannon Beach Bakery -. They did an AMAZING job AND the cake was so delicious. I wanted to take one of all the pastries and donuts too - everything looked so good! Also we ate breakfast at Sea Level Bakery - definitely one of our favorites of our trip and highly recommend a visit there!
Hug Point was a fun place to explore too! Definitely check it out if you are in the area! Also, we really milked the hugs at hug point - because why not! haha! It was a good excuse to get extra hugs, am I right?!
Our next stop was Manzanita, which ended up being my favorite town! We are going back next month and I’m already so excited! We stayed a couple nights at the Inn at Manzanita - they had such a fun set up for us where we had all the rooms downstairs and this huge hang out space upstairs with massive beautiful windows. It was perfect for our group. It was also a few steps from the beach. I got to go on an evening run on this beach and I seriously felt on top of the world - and that’s really saying something since I was running. haha! SO beautiful.
We spent one morning at Oswald State Park and hands down this was my favorite place on the coast. We did THE coolest hike that started through the forest and then lead to the beach. Such a magical hike. If you are planning a trip to the coast anytime soon, don’t miss Oswald State Park!
We stayed one last night on the coast in Seaside, Oregon at the Hi-Tide Oceanfront Inn. Just like it sounds, it was right on the beach, which was a pretty epic way to wake up in the morning. It was a great way to end our trip on the coast. And our mermaids really loved the pool since the weather was a bit rainy - worked out perfect!
While in Seaside, we took a little drive north into Astoria and Washington to check out the “Lighthouse of Disappointment” haha! We didn’t have our hopes up too high, but the lighthouse wasn’t that much of a disappointment.
After our night in Seaside, we zipped over to Portland and did the classics. Food trucks & Carioca Bowls (a must), Powells Bookstore (a must), and Blue Star Donuts (a must). Portland is one of my favorite cities to visit.
We feel so lucky to have such GOOD friends in our lives. LOVE YOU GUYS!
