Stanley, Idaho. I grew up only three hours away and have never spent time here! So glad we finally made it up! Stanley is a gem. Thought I’d jump on and share a few of our highlights. Our very favorite part is that Austin’s parents joined us for the weekend. We always love getting to spend time away with them.

We stayed at the Stanley High Country Inn. It was THE perfect location, we hardly used our car at all. The rooms were nice and cozy - reminded me of our family cabin. It was a perfect setting for our mountain getaway and a great escape after the adventures. My favorite was the view from the deck - something magical about looking out at the mountains all covered in snow. AND there’s a hot tub, so that’s definitely a win. The staff was incredible - they were all so friendly. They also have a KILLER brunch. We planned to have brunch there Friday and it was SO good we had to go again Sunday! Haha! I ordered the same thing and have no regrets. So yummy.

Speaking of good food, Papa Brunees is 200 feet away from the High Country Inn (right downtown) and has awesome pizza! Pizza is the perfect food after a day of adventure, am I right? (If you go to Papa Brunee’s definitely order the spinach artichoke dip - it was the best I’ve ever had!) They had a lot of fun pizza options!

One of our absolute highlights was Sunbeam Hot Springs just about 20 minutes away from Stanley. UNREAL. We went two nights in a row because we just couldn’t get enough. The hot springs mixed with the river made a perfect temperature. Our girls LOVED it and we stayed for over an hour each time. It was truly magical - such awesome memories!

Another one of our favorites was renting snowmobiles from Sawtooth Traxx. It was a blast. Addi was not so sure at first, but once she was feeling brave and got used to the cold, it was magical to watch her. She sang the whole way home on the snowmobile in between Austin and I. So sweet. Sawtooth Traxx took awesome care of us. They gave us all the pointers and led us to the trail. I 100% recommend planning a trip to Stanley in the Winter and renting snowmobiles from Sawtooth Traxx. We loved our experience.
