San Diego - 2018
Addison and I took a little vacation to see my Aunt Heather - my brother and his family (Cees, Madison & Theo) also met up with us in San Diego! I am soaking up every minute of one-on-one time I have with my Addi girl. In 4 short months she won't be my only one, even though I'll always claim her as my baby.
We had lots of fun soaking up the sun on the balcony (Addison's favorite spot), in the pool (another one of Addison's favorite spots) and at Balboa park (an equally favorite spot). haha!
I'm also a huge fan of succulents (who isn't?!) so San Diego was a DREAM when it came to succulents. So I'm just gonna squeeze a couple succulent photos here!
And is it just me, or are all the restaurants in San Diego all so perfect?! How can I not share how beautiful they are! Here's just a few of our favs we went to! (Addison had pancakes and chocolate milk literally every day we were there! haha!)
We loved stopping by Luna Grill for lunch on our first day. I love Mediterranean food, so this place really hit the spot with the hummus and pita bread. I had the most amazing apple walnut salad that was to die for. So good.
My aunt loves Burger Lounge so we had to stop there for dinner one night. And now I see why she loves it. Such a good place to get a burger and fries - and they spoil the kiddos too with their kid's meals. Addison was in heaven!
We walked by Fig Tree Cafe and immediately got excited to go there for brunch. They have the cutest outdoor seating area - the most perfect place to enjoy a meal outside!
If you can't tell - we are suckers for brunch. We went to Swami's Cafe one morning. It's another super cute restaurant with outdoor seating and the yummiest, biggest and most beautiful acai bowls I've ever seen in my life!
The whole time we were at Taco Stand I thought of Austin and how much he would love it. The carne asada fries and the sonora taco were soooo good - and so was my mexican coke! ;)
Breakfast Republic was another great place for brunch - it was obviously a San Diego fav based on how many people were willing to wait to get a seat. And I'd wait again! So delicious!
I could not believe how much fun Addison had at Ocean Beach! Seriously the girl is fearless and such a wild child. She had so much fun in the water, playing with her cousin Theo and chasing seagulls in her diaper!
Madison and I had fun doing a little maternity photo shoot. I donβt have a lot of photos of myself while I was pregnant with Addison - I am working hard to love and accept my growing body this pregnancy and to own it! I love this jumper from Hatch - it always helps to have a few maternity outfits that you love and feel comfortable in!
My brother, Cees, bought us flowers to celebrate International Women's Day. He's the greatest and I'm so lucky to have a brother like him! I am grateful to be a woman, a wife and a mama to my babies. It was fun being with my Aunt Heather and Madison for International Women's Day - two women I love dearly!
Our last day before we flew out we stopped at the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. Oh my goodness, we could not even believe how BEAUTIFUL and vibrant it was. We had so much fun seeing all the ranunculus fields! Addison's highlight was driving the golf cart! haha! They had so many activities set up for kids - it's the perfect place to take your family. Such a great way to end our vacation! We miss San Diego already, but are happy to be reunited with Austin!
